Ford F-150 XL
The base trim configuration of the Ford F-150 is outfitted with the 3.3L Ti-VCT V6 engine. It delivers up to 290 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque. Its performance partner is a 6-speed automatic transmission. It also comes with three selectable driving modes: Normal, Tow-Haul, and Sport.
Inside, this trim level comes with a 40/20/40 split front seat. A 60/40 flip-up split rear bench seat also comes with the SuperCab. There’s a Rear View Camera with Dynamic Hitch Assist, too. It’ll make it even more streamlined to hook up your trailer before heading out.
The XL has a number of standard safety features to keep you in control, as well. AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control™ (RSC®) and Curve Control work to keep all four tires firmly planted on the ground, so you can focus on the road ahead. It also features Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), for added peace of mind.
Ford F-150 XLT
This trim configuration builds on the XL features.
It starts with the upgraded connectivity offered by the standard SYNC® 3 system. You can stay in touch with your favorite apps and music with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. Plus, you can quickly find the crew for happy hour with the available navigation system.
It also adds the SOS Post-Crash Alert System™. It will draw attention to your truck if the airbags are deployed in a collision. It may be a big help during an emergency.
Ford F-150 Lariat
The F-150 Lariat trim level continues to build on the preceding configurations. The standard 2.7L EcoBoost® V6 engine offers enhanced power. It turns out up to 325 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. Plus, it’s coupled with a 10-speed transmission, which also adds the capability of Snow/Wet and EcoSelect to the drive mode selector.
Starting with this trim level, the F-150 can be equipped with the available 3.0L Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel V6 engine. It is capable of producing up to 250 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque. This powerhouse also gives you the ability to tow up to 11,400 pounds.
For added comfort, there is the dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control and heated front seats. On top of that, this trim level comes with 10-way power-adjusting driver and front passenger seats. It also adds better entertainment with the standard SiriusXM Satellite Radio.
Ford F-150 King Ranch
The King Ranch configuration further expands onto the previous trims. It adds the muscle of a 5.0L Ti-VCT V8 engine. This engine can produce up to 395 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque.
It adds interior comfort with leather-trimmed seating and front bucket seats. A heated steering wheel and heated rear seats come standard, as well.
It also comes with added convenience features inside and out. The remote tailgate release will make loading up a simple task. Plus, on the interior there is a flow-through center console, which includes a main storage bin with a hanging tray and removable modules for customizable space. It also has two 12-volt outlets and a 110-volt/400-watt AC converter.
This trim finishes off with the standard B&O™ Sound System by Bang & Olufsen. This 1,000-watt, 10-speaker system creates a unique audio experience that you can share with the crew or keep to yourself. To get more information on the Ford F-150, read our car review!
Ford F-150 Platinum
This trim level keeps the trend going and adds the enhanced safety of the BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert.
This technology will signal you on the outside mirror when there is another vehicle in your blind spot. Best of all, it looks out for your trailer, too! The Cross-Traffic Alert, on the other hand, will detect vehicles passing behind you. It’ll make backing out of your driveway or that tight parking spot a breeze.
Ford F-150 Limited
The Limited trim level increases the power of the Ford F-150 further. It’s equipped with a 3.5L V6 EcoBoost® engine. This work horse cranks out an impressive 450 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque.
It also gives you more confidence behind the wheel with added safety and driver-assistive technologies. The first is the 360-degree camera with split-view display. It uses four cameras and puts together a composite view of all sides of your truck. It includes other advanced features like the Lane-Keeping System and Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go.
Ford F-150 Raptor
The Raptor is engineered for off-road performance. It adds to the features offered by the XLT trim level, starting with the impressive power of the high-output 3.5L V6 EcoBoost® engine.
When you take on your next off-roading adventure in the Raptor, you’ll have the customizable capability of the Terrain Management System™. It has six drive modes. They include: Normal, Sport, and Weather Mode, for all the traversing you’ll do on the road. Once you take this truck off-road, however, you’ll have Mud and Sand Mode, Baja Mode for desert trekking, and Rock Mode for your low-speed rock crawling.
For a smooth ride no matter the terrain, this pickup is equipped with high-output, Off-Road FOX Racing Shox™ with Live Valve technology. Plus, Trail Control™ will maintain a consistent speed, so you can concentrate on the path ahead.
