Do you want something sporty and fun for cruising around in Lewistown, State College, and Bellefonte? We have good news for you. The 2019 Chevy Cruze is not just sporty and not just fun, it’s practical and ranked No. 8 in compact cars. Hatchback-revised styling, a slew of collision avoidance gear, and updated technology make this an attractive option for prospective car buyers.
You don’t have to take our word for it, though. We’ve compiled a comprehensive Chevy Cruze review just to make our point. When it comes to practicality with enjoyable, smooth handling, the Cruze has the bells and whistles in all the right areas!
Chevy Cruze Dashboard Light Guide
Available in the L, LS, LT, and Premier trim levels, the 2019 Cruze can be enjoyed with either a 1.4-liter turbo-4 gas engine or 1.6-liter turbodiesel, paired to a 6- or 9-speed automatic transmission. Rated at 153 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque, this engine is smooth and sleek with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
This lithe engine makes for an EPA-estimated 28 MPG in the city, 38 MPG/hwy and 32 MPG combined. These figures are comfortable and respectable for a vehicle in this class, making it a great choice for city-dwellers and road-trip-loving families. That’s not all there is to love, however.
Cloth upholstery comes standard, with synthetic, vegan leather available in the Premier trim. Power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, 60/40 split-folding rear seat, and leather-trimmed seats are available. While finding seating for large families might be a challenge in the Cruze, it would be no less comfortable and accommodating for the ride.
The Cruze’s interior punches above its class with room to spare. The trunk comes in at 14.8 cubic feet in both the L and LS trims, sliding to 14 cubic feet on the LT and higher trims. The hatchback comes in at 22 cubic feet, making it a bit more accommodating than the other trims.
All trim levels come with the Chevrolet MyLink® infotainment system, Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™, a 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth®, Wi-Fi® hotspot, and two USB ports. The touchscreen is intuitive and straightforward, crisp in graphics, and has a highly responsive interface.
The new Driver Confidence II package at the range-topping Cruze Premier features active lane control, automatic emergency braking, and automatic high-beam headlights. With this kind of advanced safety tech, you know you’ll be safe and sound on the road for many miles to come.
When it comes to sleek comfort and capability, the 2019 Chevy Cruze delivers in style. Redesigned from the ground up, this vehicle was built to accommodate modern drivers with modern needs.
